Prayer:  The heart of the domains.

First and foremost, religious education is about building on our Baptismal encounter with the Lord, discovering Jesus in our daily life, and developing a personal relationship with Him and His Church.  By giving time and space to the experience of prayer, we allow the Holy Spirit to enlighten and connect with the children - and the children to God.

Throughout the Liturgical Year, the children participate in the prayer of the Church.  Our beautiful rituals and Sacraments are experiences of God's grace.  The Rosary, the Stations of the Cross, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and the Eucharist are celebrated and prayed as a whole group throughout the year.
The prayer domain of the weekly class includes Lectio Divina, a beautiful meditation on the Scripture.
